suicide
Since 2020, emergency room visits for suspected suicide attempts have risen by 51% among adolescent girls. Self-harm rates have doubled among young people, and one in three teens reports having serious thoughts of suicide. These numbers reflect a crisis in our communities, affecting our children, friends, and families.
When thoughts of self-harm or suicide take hold, the pain feels constant, exhausting, and impossible to escape. Your mind becomes a battlefield of dark thoughts, and hope seems just out of reach. But we weren’t meant to fight this battle alone. Whether you or someone you love is experiencing these challenges, there is hope. Join us as we discover pathways to healing and the peace that comes from bringing our deepest pain to Jesus.
This January, join us for Weeds In My Garden for an honest conversation about mental health. Whether you struggle or are walking alongside someone who is, you’ll find understanding, resources, and a community that cares.
If you find yourself or a loved one struggling check out these resources our team has collected, including support groups, counseling, books, meditations, and more. Don’t forget to bookmark this page – we’ll be adding new resources and tools each week to support you and your loved ones throughout this series.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1 | NIV
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 | NIV
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:1-2 | NIV
