start a group
Colin & Kylie share their experience in taking the step of faith to start a small group.
One of the best things about starting a small group is the genuine sense of belonging. It can feel overwhelming on a weekend at Eastside, where it’s challenging to make connections. However, within a small group, we discovered a loving and supportive community that instantly felt like family. We found people who shared our faith, our struggles, and our stage of life.
Life is full of challenges, and it’s easy to feel isolated when going through tough times. In our small group, we discovered a safe space where we can be vulnerable and share our struggles without judgment. It is amazing to experience the empathy, encouragement, and renewed hope of this community.
The beauty of being part of a small group is that we get to do life together. From celebrating the happy moments and supporting each other through hardships, we’ve become a close-knit community, walking alongside each other through the ups and downs. Whether it’s sharing a meal, discussing our faith, or just having fun together, our small group has become an integral part of our lives.
A small group provides the perfect setting for nurturing genuine relationships. We’ve had the privilege of getting to know each other on a deeper level. These friendships have become a source of joy, love, and support that enriches our lives daily.
MAKE FRIENDS
In the busyness of life, it’s easy to feel drained and disconnected. However, attending a small group breathes new life into us. Seeing our friends’ smiling faces after a challenging week instantly lifts our mood. The warmth, laughter, and camaraderie we experience during these gatherings remind us of the power of community and the importance of fostering relationships.
Because we took this step in starting a group we’ve had the incredible opportunity to care for and support others on their journey of faith. We are grateful for the opportunities to encourage others and this experience has been both humbling and rewarding. It is amazing to witness the positive impact our small group has on each other and our community.
This small group has given us a chance to grow in our faith, develop meaningful friendships, and navigate life’s challenges with unconditional support. Through shared experiences, laughter, and tears, we have discovered the true meaning of community and the beauty of doing life together.
