socal Winter Camp 2024
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world. He sent his Son to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

frequently asked questions
Throughout history, God has chosen to communicate with people using outdoor settings. Winter Camp gives kids a chance to get out of their daily routine and to invite their friends to do the same. Here, they can connect with God and with each other. So, in this “wilderness” setting, kids will have an opportunity to think about their lives and be able to start living the abundant life of Christ.
We will be taking our 3rd-5thgradersto CampCedar Crest located in the local mountains right outside of Running Springs, CA. The tripwill take around anhour and half, in fully loaded charter buses (including reclining seats, TVs, and bathrooms). Eastside designs our own camps, which includes planning Chapel times from start to finish, enlisting and working with the speaker regarding what kids will be learning, and organizing all other program elements: recreation, crafts, evening activities, etc.
Your child is guaranteed to be in the same cabin with at least one of their buddies that you put on the form when you register
o First step is to guarantee your child[s] spot for camp by registering and paying the non-refundable deposit. Special note there is NO WYWTC/Financial Aid available if camp is less than two weeks away.
o Second step is to email Erica Schmaltz to get the WYWTC form at eschmaltz@eastside.com
This is like a school fundraiser where you go out and get “sponsor’s” (grandparents, teachers, coaches, neighbors, aunts, uncles, Etc.) to sponsor you by the hour or give you a one-time gift to help you go to camp. Then you work it off at home or around your neighborhood, church etc.
o Paying the non-refundable deposit and doing WYWTC is the first step as well with any Financial Aid. CLICK HERE for more information to see if you meet the requirements. “
