Jorelle decides to get baptized
Taking a Bold Step of Faith
"God became truly real to me after my first few visits to Eastside when I finally let go of my hesitations and tore down the walls I had built."

Here is what Jorelle had to say about his decision to be baptized:
I discovered Eastside through my brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s invitation. The experience was completely different from what I was used to, but I prayed for an open mind to follow whatever would bring me closer to God. What keeps me coming back is the messages and worship, along with the incredibly warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home.
My journey to baptism began as I learned more about Jesus’ teachings and discovered the pattern of his followers being baptized after choosing to believe in and follow Him. When I understood this, the decision became crystal clear—baptism was my opportunity to publicly declare my love and dedication to God. It felt like the natural next step in my faith journey.
God became truly real to me after my first few visits to Eastside when I finally let go of my hesitations and tore down the walls I had built. During worship, with eyes closed and singing praises, I experience a powerful one-on-one connection with God. The same happens during communion—a sacred time to reflect on God’s sacrifice and express gratitude. These moments help me prepare my heart for the service, essentially saying, “Lord, I’m here for you. I’m all ears and focused completely on you.”
If you’ve been considering baptism, I encourage you to take this bold step. It’s a beautiful way to publicly proclaim your faith and experience God’s presence in a profound new way.
