The Executive Team proudly invites you to join them at this year’s Spire Conference, held at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) in Peoria, AZ, Tuesday, October 1st – Thursday October 3rd. General conference admission, accommodations, group travel and meals are included in this invitation.
Your attendance and response is required. Please be sure to have a conversation with your supervisor if you are unable to attend. Please RSVP HERE by July 10 to let us know if you will/will not be in attendance!
What is the Spire Conference? SpireConference is an incredible leadership connection conference focused on encouraging and equipping leaders who inspire a movement of healthy growing churches. It’s a time to get away from the weekly routine to be with our Eastside team at large, spend time being poured into, dream about the future of the Church, all while building connection and community with other pastors and leaders. Our own fearless leader, Gene, is on the Spire Board and is this year’s primary programmer; meaning, he has hand selected this year’s speakers.
Accommodations. We will be staying at the beautiful Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliff Resort. This all-suite hotel is surrounded by mountain views, offers seven pools, a 138-foot water slide, private cabanas, waterfalls, a championship golf course, and a full-service spa and salon. Rooms will be based on double occupancy. Please designate your room buddy (or buddies if you would like to request triple or quadruple occupancy) on the registration form. If you prefer to pay for your own room, you can make note of this on the registration form.

How are we getting there?
- Las Vegas will travel via carpool.
- SoCal will be traveling via Charter Bus from the Anaheim and Redlands Campus.
- *Park Rapids and *other out-of-state (non-LV) will receive specific communication with travel guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact Joyce Murphy.
Can I drive my own vehicle?
- While we would not want you to miss out on the exciting team building happening within the group, if you have extenuating circumstances that require you to drive independently, please notify your supervisor and contact Denise Castillo to discuss your options. You will be responsible for any expenses related to transportation decision.

What if I can’t find a Room Buddy and I don’t want to pay for my own room?
- Not a problem! A Room Buddy will be assigned to you.
How much will it cost if I want to pay for my own room?
- “The discounted group rate is $189.00 per night. After taxes and fees, the total nightly rate is approximately $482 for 2 nights (or $241.00 per night). Please make this designation on the RSVP form. Additional information will be provided to you at a later.
Can I bring my spouse or a guest?
- Unfortunately, this event will be specifically designed for Eastside Staff only. This will allow us to gather outside of our traditional work environments.
Can my family book a separate room?
- While we cannot control who books at the hotel independently, we highly advise against bringing family members or guests. Our agenda will be circled around the conference with team building activities in between.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
- Please notify supervisor and Denise Castillo immediately. The hotel has a 30 day cancellation policy for hotel accommodations and meals. Although we cannot control unforeseeable circumstances, we would like to avoid incurring any penalties as much as possible.
Are meals included?
- Yes! Eastside will be covering the cost of meals based on our agenda. You will be responsible for any food or beverages purchased outside of the provided agenda.
Will there be “Free Time”?
- While our agenda will focus on the SpireConference, there will be opportunities for some “free time”! Please refer to the sample agenda for reference. Feel free to use this time however you’d like. You will be responsible for the expenses incurred during your free time.
What are some things I can do during my free time?
- The resort offers a lot of on-site options, which you can learn more about HERE! You will be responsible for arranging and the expense pertaining to these activities.
