Every one of us gets asked the same question sooner or later: What am I actually here for? The Bible doesn’t leave you guessing. God hands out gifts; real ones, on purpose, to every single person who follows Him. Paul put it plain: “A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good.” Each person. That means you. Not just the pastors, not just the folks up on stage; you.
Sometimes you already know what you’re good at. Sometimes God nudges you toward something you’d never have picked for yourself. Either way, the gift’s in there. This is just about finding it.
Your gift isn't yours to sit on.
Here’s the thing about a gift: it’s not much good still in the box. God didn’t wire you up so you could keep it to yourself. He did it so you’d use it — for somebody else.
We're here to serve.
Peter said it like this: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Whatever you’ve got, somebody around you needs it. And honestly? That’s where the joy is. The best way to enjoy your gift is to hand it away. Jesus said it plain: it’s more blessed to give than to receive.
We need you.
We mean that. Not as a nice thing to say — as the truth. There are people all around us who are hurting, who are lonely, whose marriages are on the rocks, who are looking for hope and haven’t found it yet. And here’s how God works: He hands you what you’ve got, He adds His power to it, and together the two of you pull off something neither of you does alone.
