Nine years ago, both myself and my new wife were flat broke. Our credit was in shambles, and we carried a lifetime of financial blunders on our backs. We were newly married, newly overwhelmed, and just trying to survive.

Then we found Financial Peace University (FPU).

We took a chance, signed up for the class, and started applying the principles, especially the Debt Snowball. Little by little, month by month, we began to gain momentum. At first, it felt like we were barely scraping by. In 2016, we had nothing in savings, bills were mounting, and we could hardly pull together enough to buy an old, very worn-out farmhouse.

But God was faithful, and the principles we learned in FPU were powerful.

Today, our lives look completely different.

We’ve now paid off over $100,000 in debt. We have a fully funded emergency fund that covers several months of expenses. Four years ago, we moved into a beautiful home that we can comfortably afford. And by God’s grace, we are no longer surviving—we’re giving generously, living with margin, and even sponsoring a child monthly through Missions of Hope.
