MOVE UP weekend

May 31/June 1

Our team is unbelievably excited that your son/daughter will soon be making the MOVE-UP! ITS AN EXCITING WEEKEND YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS!

We’re celebrating this milestone as your child moves up to the grade they will be in as of Fall 2025! This special weekend is a chance to celebrate our graduates and welcome new friends into each group. We’re excited to walk alongside your child in this next chapter, encouraging deeper friendships, a greater understanding of God’s love, and new ways to live out their faith. Let’s celebrate all that God is doing in their lives and look forward to an incredible year ahead!

To help your child get the most out of their experience, we recommend picking a service and sticking to it (as much as possible). Our Change Makers serve at the same service with the same group of kids for the entire year (June–May). For your child to build strong friendships and experience true community within the context of a small group, we encourage you to consistently attend the same service each weekend. This helps ensure they’ll have the same leader and the same kids in their group all year long. We believe the best way to help kids take steps in their spiritual journey is through meaningful relationships—and our weekend small groups are the heart of that mission!

Kidside (Birth - 5th grade)

Preschool
On May 31/June 1, every child will “move up” to the grade they will be in as of Fall 2025. Depending on their age, grade, and the campus that you attend, they may be moving up into a brand new room. The check in sticker you receive when you check in your child will tell you which fun-filled room they’ll be in!

Consistency is the key to connection! To help your child get the most out of their experience, we recommend picking a service and sticking to it. Our Change Makers serve at the same service with the same group of kids for the entire year (June–May). We believe the best way to help kids take steps in their spiritual journey is through meaningful relationships—and our weekend small groups are the heart of that mission.

Kidside is amazing because of amazing parents like you who partner with us. There are several ways that you can use your unique gifts to make a huge impact here in Kidside!

  1. Nursery – Share the love of God through caring for babies and toddlers.
  2. Preschool – Helps kids grasp God’s love through creative and engaging experiences.
  3. Elementary – Guide Kids towards the love of God through building relational connections.
  4. Special Needs – Demonstrate God’s love by caring for those who need extra care.
  5. Checkin Team – Help kids and parents feel welcomed and connected.
  6. Prep Team – Prepare curriculum and set up our rooms during the week so that our weekends can be awesome!

JHM (6TH, 7TH + 8TH GRADE)

JR. HIGH -

Our team has created 3 quick videos about Jr. High.  Click on each question to watch the video.

What should I expect for my child’s first visit?

What phase is my kid in?

What is the strategy behind JHM Ministry?

Our goal is to inspire students to connect with their peers and discover the incredible potential they have in Christ. We want your student to form meaningful friendships and grow through small groups that meet during the weekend experience. We’d love for your middle schooler to join us at any of our campuses! For service times and locations, visit eastside.com/jhm.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to treat church like just another item on your schedule, hopping between different services each week. However, we’ve found that the best way for your student to connect is by consistently attending the same service. This helps them build lasting relationships with their peers and a trusted adult leader. Another powerful way to deepen these connections is through Summer Camp. The bonds formed at camp are quick, meaningful, and can last a lifetime.

We would love you to partner with us in Jr. High Ministry! There are four ways you can serve and make a difference:

1. Lead a Small Group – Be a consistent voice in the lives of students.
2. Be a Greeter – Help new students get connected.
3. Serve in the Student Café (Be a friendly face serving students or helping them with the audio/visual that helps services run). (ANAHEIM ONLY)
4. Join our JHM BOOSTER Team – AS NEEDED: Help with events, shopping, hospitality, cooking, and more.

We would love for you to prayerfully consider being on our team. Please go to eastside.com/volunteer to start the process.

We’d love to connect with you! The best way to get started is by stopping by Guest Central at HSM. There, you can fill out a quick connection card so we can keep you in the loop about upcoming events through phone or email. There’s so much fun ahead you won’t want to miss it!

We’d love to chat with you about ways you can serve in our High School Ministry! There are a couple of great ways to get involved:

Lead a Small Group – Be a steady, encouraging voice in the lives of students by building relationships and walking alongside them in their faith journey.

Join the Ops Team – Not quite ready for a small group? No problem! Our Ops Team is an awesome way to support behind the scenes. Young Adults (YA) at Eastside is designed for anyone 18–26, whether they are entering
college, working, serving, or figuring out their next steps. We meet weekly for worship, small
groups, and community-building events all centered around growing in faith, building lasting
relationships, and finding their purpose in Christ.

Weekend Services: We encourage new grads to attend the Saturday 5:30 PM service at the Anaheim campus (or the last service at their campus). It’s where many of our young adults gather to worship, meet new friends, and find community.

Wednesday Small Groups: Our groups meet every Wednesday night at 7PM during the summer. They’re a great place to build deeper friendships through studying Scripture (this summer, we’re walking through Matthew 6 together).

Monthly Invite Events: Fun, welcoming events every third weekend of the month to help new young adults get connected, meet leaders, and build friendships.

While Young Adults is designed to help students take more ownership of their faith, parents still play an important role! Here’s how you can support them:
Encourage them to attend consistently—especially the Saturday night service and a Wednesday group.

Pray for them as they step into this new chapter.

Stay informed! If you’d like occasional updates about big events like retreats or mission trips, email us and we’ll make sure you have what you need.

Trust the process: building adult friendships and a new spiritual rhythm takes time, but it’s worth it
