meal packing event
Eastside Christian Church is teaming up with Lifeline Christian Mission to pack one million meals to help those here in our own communities. Over 38 million people living in the United States are experiencing food insecurity. Join us at our Eastside locations as we gather to do our part in fighting against food insecurity and malnutrition. This event is the perfect way for individuals, groups, and families of all ages to celebrate the end of summer! All ages are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Space is limited for each shift so please register.
Food from our Eastside Grill will be available for purchase, so come early or stay after you pack and enjoy an affordable meal! For more details see Q&A below.
Yes! All ages are welcome! This event is truly family friendly. We’ll have stools and jobs for younger kids to help alongside their family members. For toddlers/babies we recommend you wear your child or bring them in a stroller or carseat.
Yes! Chairs or stools will be available for those that cannot stand the entire shift.
We will provide gloves and hairnets for you (they are required while food packing). Just bring your own mask if you’d like to wear one.
Sorry but not this time. Our partners from Lifeline are supplying us with food in bulk that can be sent and stored to a variety of partners globally and locally. If you are looking for somewhere to donate food visit eastside.com/local and click View Service Opportunities and search there for local food pantries.
We highly recommend your register in advance as many shifts will fill up and we cannot guarantee you a spot at a certain time. If a shift is full you may walk-up and will be asked to standby to see if we can accommodate you at that shift or not.
Mac and cheese, beans and rice are being prepared across all of our campuses (although not all at all campuses).
On your registration confirmation email from compassion@eastside.com you should see an option to make a change to your shift. If you still need some help, email the Compassion Team by clicking the “email us” button below.
