LOCAL COMMUNITY OUTREACH

For our church, this is an opportunity to live out our faith in a way that is visible, practical, and rooted in love. For families under strain, a meal can mean relief and one less burden to carry.  This isn’t just an event…it’s a moment of alignment. When the church moves together, something powerful happens.

Families are meant to be places of safety, belonging, and care. Yet across our Eastside communities, many families are walking through a season marked by uncertainty and strain. When the foundations that support daily life begin to falter, families can quickly feel overwhelmed and alone.

Local Compassion exists to step into these moments with practical help, steady presence, and hope through support that helps families remain grounded and whole during times of instability.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

The Need

Across Orange County, Bellflower, Redlands, Las Vegas, and Park Rapids, our trusted local partners are seeing a growing number of families seeking support. While the circumstances may look different from one region to another, the needs are shared:

  • Sudden financial strain that threatens housing and utilities
  • Limited access to consistent, reliable food
  • Confusion and stress when navigating complex legal or social systems

How We Are Responding

Through Local Compassion, we partner with organizations already embedded in our communities: groups that know their neighbors, understand local challenges, and serve with dignity and care. Together, we focus on stabilizing families, so they can remain connected, supported, and hopeful.

With your generosity, we will:

  • Provide emergency assistance that helps families remain housed and connected to essential utilities
  • Strengthen food access through trusted local partners
  • Support legal navigation and advocacy services that help families move forward with clarity

Why This Matters

When families are supported during vulnerable seasons, dignity is preserved, crisis is often prevented, and hope has room to take root. This is quiet, faithful work, often unseen, but deeply transformative. By standing with families when life feels uncertain, we reflect the heart of Jesus, who consistently moved toward those in need with compassion and care. Together, we have the opportunity to be a steady presence, offering not just resources, but reassurance that families are not walking alone.
