hitched -
9 week seminar

DATES:JUNE 6th - AUG 8th
TIME: 9:00a - 10:15a PT

seriously dating | engaged | newlyweds

A wedding only lasts one day so we want to
help you be prepared for your marriage

Engaged and looking for premarital counseling or seeking answers to pre-marriage counseling questions.  Hitched is an online relationship seminar to prepare couples to stay happily “hitched” for life. This nine-week seminar is for couples who want a lasting and joy-filled marriage.

Best of all, Hitched isn’t just for couples who are engaged; we also recommend this for couples who are seriously dating. It is a great way to build your relationship on a healthy foundation and get relationship advice from other couples and mentors. Wondering if the person you are dating is your soulmate? This is a great time to build your communications and ask some difficult questions before you say “I Do.”

Recently married couples will also benefit from working through conflict resolution, financial issues and discover real solutions to prevent divorce. One of the resources we use is Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott, relationship experts.  Watch the video below as they explain something they call the XYZ Formula. It’s one that they often give to couples to transform a fight. It goes something like this: “In situation “X”, when you do “Y” I feel “Z.” This formula helps your spouse feel that they are not being criticized. You have a tendency to react more negatively to a criticism, rather than a complaint.

Three dynamic teachers will walk you through tools, homework, and live learning exercises on issues like marital conflict, discovering strengths and weaknesses, and identifying each other’s love style. This interactive experience includes a book, workbook, and homework to do as a couple. Each couple will take the Prepare/Enrich Assessment and receive personalized results from a marriage and family counselor.  In addition to a personalized assessment, this comprehensive marriage program includes topics such as:

+ Uncovering and debunking common myths about marriage.

+ Learning how to communicate with instant understanding.

+ Discovering the secrets to reducing and resolving conflict.

+ Mastering the skills of money management.

+ Getting your sex life off to a great start.

+ Understanding the three essential ingredients to lasting love.

+ Discovering the importance of becoming soulmates.

Join us online, Sundays from 9:00-10:15a PT starting June 6th – Aug 8th (except July 4th). You will also need to purchase one workbook bundle to share. To order online, click here. To reserve your spot for you and your partner,  please click the “Register Now” button.

"It was really fun to be able to do the homework together during the week and connect with other couples in the same season of life as us on the weekend. We learned about each other's love languages and how to talk about tough things like money and conflict resolution without sounding critical or complaining. We loved Hitched! We would totally recommend it!"

“A friend who attended Eastside recommended we take this class. Both of us had been married before and we wanted this one to work. We really learned a lot about each other from taking Hitched. ”

"We took this class when we were dating because we had a lot of family baggage.  This was a great place to learn to talk through things before we got engaged/ married. One of the best things I learned about Nathan during this class is how he genuinely is always asking how he can be better- he is never okay with staying stagnant in his growth".

"We had just gotten engaged and wanted to take Hitched to learn more about each other.  We really appreciated the homework, getting to know other couples and also being able to ask questions from the mentor couples. ”
