Jesus built His Church For The One, the forgotten, the struggling, the broken, the outsider who feels they don’t belong. Messy lives and marginalized hearts aren’t just welcomed… they’re pursued. Jesus calls us to go into the streets, the alleys, the hidden places of our world, and bring them in. And still, He says… “There is room for one more.” No matter who you are, what you’ve done, or how hopeless your past feels, there’s a place for you in God’s family.
That’s why we’re giving every Eastsider a FOR THE ONE wristband. On the inside, you’ll see the words MY ONE — a reminder to write the name of one person you’ll pray for between now and September 6/7, when our At The Movies series kicks off.
Between now and then, let’s commit to praying – asking God to open their heart, give us opportunities to show His love, and prepare them to hear the life-changing message of Jesus. At The Movies is designed with your one in mind! It’s a chance for them to experience God’s love in a fresh way, maybe for the very first time. Who’s your one? Write their name. Wear the band. Pray daily. And believe that God’s not done writing their story.
Every Great Story Points to Hope.
This fall, Eastside is turning the spotlight on the movies we love—because hidden in the humor, heartbreak, and heroics are deeper truths about life, faith, and the hope we all long for.
At the Movies is the perfect time to invite someone who could use encouragement or a fresh start. Grab some popcorn and save your seat—this is a series you won’t want to experience alone.
