EASTER 2021 | Message

Experience unforgettable stories and an inspirational message from Pastor Gene Appel as we take a step toward hope.

join us next week

Join us this weekend for a brand new series – Stress Fractures. An athlete can always tell if something is not quite right inside. There is no glaring injury, but they can still feel the hidden pain. If left unattended, this tiny problem will eventually break. The same thing is true in relationships. On the surface things look fine, but underneath, we know something is off. The past year has created a lot of stress fractures in marriages, families, friendships, even churches. Join us for a relational MRI and we’ll examine the little things that can help heal the relationships most important to us.

a look back at holy week

Gene has put together special video content, as we remember Jesus’ incredible journey to the cross. Gene will be presenting a daily experience to help enrich our spiritual journey in preparation for Easter. Specifically designed around Holy Week, he will walk through some of the significant moments that led up to Good Friday. Below is the schedule:

  • Monday – Palm Sunday
  • Tuesday – The Upper Room: A place of love and acceptance
  • Wednesday – The Garden of Gethsemane: A place of prayer
  • Thursday – The Courtyard of Caiaphas: a place of regret (Peter’s Denial)
  • Friday – Golgotha: A place of Love and Justice

We’ll post each day’s video podcast here or you can listen by downloading the app.

safety protocols

We know you are just as excited as we are to join back together to worship on one of our four campuses. That’s why we want to let you know of some changes we have made to make sure your visit is a safe one. You can still expect a spectacular worship service, a practical hope filled message, a thriving Next Gen program, opportunities to serve with Compassion, and support through our many small groups. It is the same Eastside, but with implemented changes to protect our friends.

We will implement measures to ensure safe physical distancing of 6 feet between people as possible

•We will limit the number of persons in a space

•We will promote the spacing of people where lines are required

•We will promote the distancing between attendees that are from different households when seated in a gathering area

•We will use physical partitions between staff and guests where necessary

•We will prop doors open during peak periods where people are entering and exiting the building.

We will promote the use of face coverings for persons 2 years and older (unless exempt due to a medical condition, disability, or other safety concern)

•We will provide a face mask to anyone who arrives without one

Disinfecting: we will continue to practice proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols:

•We will promote frequent hand washing in restrooms and food service areas, and we will provide hand sanitizing stations on campus for attendee use

•We will perform a thorough cleaning of high traffic areas, and will frequently disinfect commonly used surfaces, including door knobs, toilets, and seating areas

•Staff and workers will wear disposable gloves when handling commonly touched items

•We will train our staff and volunteers regarding these elements

•When food or beverage service is provided, we will directly serve guests, and workers will wear disposable gloves and face coverings

•We will encourage all people to self-screen themselves for Covid-19 at home, including temperature and/or symptom checks following CDC guidelines

•We will encourage workers and attendees who are sick or exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19, or who have family members who are ill, to stay home

•Hand sanitizer stations at all key entry points of the campus as well as the restrooms and Kids area.

Our staff and Change Makers are excited to be regathering together again with you and your family. We understand that safety of our friends and family is the most important aspect of attending Eastside. That’s why we have taken additional steps to make sure that the Eastside experience is one that is safe, clean, and fun environment for you and your family. Due to our commitment to your health and safety, we have restructured our children and young adult spaces to include new safety and health protocols listed below:

•Cleaning and disinfecting every room and on every surface including the use of electrostatic sprayers between every service

•Temperature checks upon check in for staff, change makers, students, and children of all ages.

•Adjusted room capacities to establish the proper distancing per state guidelines

•Hand sanitizing stations

•No touch check in

•Masks are worn 2 years +

we are looking forward to
