Redlands Campus Project

Every physical barrier can become a spiritual barrier for someone seeking God. Together, we can transform our Redlands campus into a space where everyone can experience God’s welcome from the moment they arrive.

Redlands Renovations To Reach More People

Redlands is ready for a makeover that will create a welcoming campus for our guests from the moment they pull into the parking lot. We are finalizing detailed plans for our Redlands campus to create the same inviting connection spaces available at our other campuses.

As construction bids and financial resources come in, we’ll be able to see which elements of our master plan can be put in place. In this inflationary environment, you can join us in praying for favorable quotes from suppliers and contractors.

 The Challenge
Our aging facilities currently present several obstacles to achieving these goals:

  • The aging parking lot needs to be completely replaced. A small amount of tar and patch can no longer fix the numerous cracks and holes or address the slope that directs water toward the buildings
  • The entrance to the lobby & auditorium is not obvious to the guests and needs a clearly defined “sense of arrival.”
  • The 1970’s restrooms need to be brought up to ADA compliance and updated.
  • A permanent cafe & grill will reduce hours of set up and tear down for our Change Makers, providing a much more inviting experience for guests.
  • Redlands has extremely high temperatures many months of the year and yet has limited shaded seating for our guests to stay and connect.
  • Currently, we have no child-dedicated restrooms for the safety of our children.
  • The Children’s playground is not shaded from the high temperatures, lacks safety, and does not include play options for all of Kidside.

The Planned Improvements

  • All-year cafe/grill with minimal setup.
  • Extensive permanent shaded seating areas
  • Improved guest & family-friendly ADA restrooms
  • Dedicated safe restrooms for kids
  • Shaded Playground fenced in for children’s safety.
  • Focused welcoming entrance to the parking lot, lobby, and auditorium so our first-time guests understand where to park, can walk through the plaza (cafe, grill, greeters), and be directed to the lobby to enter the auditorium.
  • All new parking lot with proper drainage, ADA parking, clearly painted parking lines, and a drop-off zone.

The Results
The Redlands renovation will transform our campus into a modern, accessible space designed to encourage meaningful connections, simplify ministry operations, and create intuitive pathways that help both current Eastsiders and future guests feel genuinely welcome from the moment they arrive.

THREE REASONS TO RENOVATE THE REDLANDS CAMPUS

In a world that’s increasingly isolated, we know that life-changing relationships often begin in simple moments – over coffee after service, in conversations while children play, or in the comfortable shade of a gathering space. By creating permanent, welcoming spaces for these connections, we’re intentionally fostering the community that’s central to our faith journey.

Every physical barrier can become a spiritual barrier for someone seeking God. By improving our campus navigation, updating our accessibility, and creating clear pathways, we’re ensuring that nothing stands in the way of someone experiencing God’s love at Eastside. From the moment they enter our parking lot to the time they join us in worship, every guest should feel welcomed and valued

When our Change Makers spend less time setting up and tearing down temporary equipment, they can spend more time doing what matters most – connecting with people. When families know their children are safe in dedicated, secure spaces, they can fully engage in worship. When our campus works better, ministry works better.
