MARY JO SHAFFER
Meet Dr. Mary Jo Shaffer! Mary Jo has been attending Eastside since 1990. She is a now retired obstetrician/gynecologist and utilizes her medical expertise by volunteering at Eastside on our Medical Response Team and by serving on multiple Compassion trips to Kenya and Central Mexico. Mary Jo loves her Eastside family and has hosted and led multiple small groups and has worked with our 4-year olds in Kidside. She is a widow of nine years and is a proud mother of three adult children (Janelle, Cole & Myles) and is excited for this next season at Eastside.
SCOTT ROSNER
Meet Scott Rosner! Scott began attending Eastside over 50 years ago. Over the years, he has served in a variety of capacities across multiple ministries, including Next Gen, Small Group leadership, Global Compassion Beyond Borders trips, the Parking team, and our Guest Services team.
During his time here at Eastside, Scott has also served on the elder board (1996 – 2022) in several capacities from the finance board chairman, co-leading capital stewardship campaigns, as well as serving as the board chairman during the relocation to our Anaheim campus. In addition to all the volunteer hours at Eastside, Scott has had a career that spans 35-years as a financial executive, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Infinite Electronics, Inc.
Scott met and married his wife Stephanie at Eastside, and together, they have raised their three kids here and are now blessed with three grandkids! For Scott, Eastside is much more than a place, it’s family and it’s home.
After a thorough process, our elders are recommending two new members for our Elder Board. Next is an important phase in which the congregation has 30 days to register any scriptural reason they know that any candidate is not qualified to serve by contacting our elder board.
