dedication

This is a special time for you to dedicate your child/children and make a public commitment before God, your family and the church, your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child. During this dedication service, we honor and pray for those who want to commit to raising this child in a Christian home.   It’s a great church-wide event where parents and children go on stage and are recognized in front of the whole church as we pray with you and for your family.  Click here to watch a previous years dedication.

We believe baptism is a personal choice that happens upon someone’s confession of faith and they need to be old enough to make that decision themselves.  A Child Dedication is an opportunity for the child’s family to  make a commitment to raise this child in a godly home. To guide this child on their journey until they are old enough to make the decision for themselves.

Please check-in with us at least 15 minutes before the service you will be attending, we need to know that you are here. We will have a sign and balloons by the check-in table. 

 We will have reserved seating signs that say “Reserved for Families Participating in Child Dedications.” Your extended family may sit with you in this area but only parents and the child(ren) being dedicated are to go on the stage. (Parents please sit on the end of the aisle so it is easier to get up to the stage). Keep in mind this section is not ideal for pictures so you may want extended family to sit somewhere closer to the middle of the auditorium. When the video montage starts, parents and children will stand up and proceed onto the stage. Gene will address the congregation and do the parents charge. He will also lead a prayer over the families.At the end of the dedication you will exit the stage the same way you entered. You can check your children into their classrooms and return to the service.

We would like to invite you, your friends and family to a Child Dedication Reception following the service that will take place after each service. You can pick up your Child’s Dedication Certificate, take some cute pictures at our photo op and grab a sweet treat.

Yes! even after registration closes you can still participate.  If you haven’t registered but you would like to participate please check-in before the service.  You are your child can participate, get some great family photos and attend our reception.

*Please note your child’s photo will not be in the slideshow and we will need to mail your Child Dedication Certificate to you.
